This was my favorite and Final Project. We had to pick a nursery rhyme and change it to modern times and design our own characters and story moment. I chose the "Little Bo Peep" nursery rhyme. I wanted to play around with the Asian theme for costumes so I chose to make the girl Japanese. Her name is Hoshiko, which means "turtle child" in Japanese. In Japan, the turtle is a symbol of longevity. Instead of sheeps I used baby sea turtles. Hoshiko has a homing beacon on her bamboo stick as well as the sea turtles to track them down at night. She cares and nurtures for the baby sea turtles as a favor for the giant sea turtle. This giant sea turtle carries a magical city on its back underwater. In return, the giant sea turtle promises Hoshiko access to this city in her afterlife.
